The Fat Cat Brewery Beers: Tasting Notes
Fat Cat Bitter
A straw coloured bitter, with a distinct floral, spicy aroma from
Cascade and Golding hops. The subtle blend of continental speciality
malts with classic English pale malt gives a distinctive, slightly
smoky taste, which blends well with the hop bitterness to give a spicy,
yet well-balanced bitter.
Fat Cat Honey Ale
A mid-brown coloured ale, combining the full flavour of English
pale and crystal malts with Norfolk honey, giving a sweetish, yet
full-flavoured ale. The spicy notes of Cascade hops combine well with
the honey to give a smooth finish, with a notable, hoppy bite.
Fat Cat Stout Cat
An attractively-coloured deep red/brown beer. The characteristic
sweet, rich flavour of roast malt and molasses is well balanced with
the pronounced hop flavour and aroma of classic English Fuggle hops.
Fat Cat Top Cat
A golden coloured pale ale, with a notable citrus/pine aroma from Cascade and Styrian hops. The well-balanced malty sweetness and spicy hop bitterness continues trough to a long-lasting finish.Fat Cat Wild Cat
A straw-coloured ale, with a high percentage of extra-pale Marris
Otter malt giving some initial light, fruity sweetness. This is
counter-balanced by a generous dollop of First Gold hops, leaving you
with an extremely long, dry finish and a refreshing bitterness.
Fat Cat Marmalade Cat
A classic mid-brown coloured strong bitter, with a markedly bitter finish from the generous use of Styrian hops. Flavoursome English pale malt adds balance and a smooth finish, which lasts and lasts. Full-bodied, yet with an ease of drinking which belies its strength.
